The Directors' Series provides Canadian corporate directors with an opportunity to stay informed in a time of frequent change and growing demands. The one hour sessions is broadcasted live in multiple locations across the country. These sessions provide directors with the opportunity to hear first-hand from seasoned corporate directors, company executives and professional advisors who provide fresh insights on the most current corporate governance issues. The recently changed format includes a one hour panel discussion, followed by a 30-minute local off-air moderated discussion, giving more time for meaningful interaction. In the end, directors take with them ready-to-use, practical information and tools to help them discharge their responsibilities.
For directors who hold the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, the Directors College C.Dir. designation from McMaster University, or the Acc.Dir. accreditation from ICSA Canada, participation in the Deloitte Directors’ Series session counts for two hours credit towards the continuing education requirement. The session also counts as two hours credit for the ASC designation for Le Collège des administrateurs de sociétés.
