Announcing our Directors’ Guide - Corporate governance: Ask the right questions
Although the Centre for Corporate Governance has been a source of information on hot topics for board members since its inception in the early 2000s, it is now time for us to bring you the same quality information in a format that is much more accessible.
Over the past few months, a team of Deloitte specialists—supported by CPA Canada—has been examining the content of the Centre and ensuring that it reflects current requirements and promotes best practices. Several topics have been added that take into account the concerns of all stakeholders. We have also collected the views of our experts as well as those of recognized organizations. In addition, interactive tools and practical examples of mandates and policies have been revisited. We have assembled all these resources in a brand new Directors’ Guide.
This guide is intended as a reference manual for boards and C-suites. It addresses the responsibilities of the board of directors on a myriad of topics, from the pandemic and technology to talent management and climate change. Each section of the guide, like our site, provides an overview of the topic and suggests questions that the board can ask management. It also offers many related resources that can help you to learn more.
As this guide is effectively replacing the Centre, we have shut down the Centre for Corporate Governance. Don't worry, you'll find all of its content and more in the Directors’ Guide.
Our intention is to update the Directors’ Guide on an annual basis. It goes without saying that if a hot topic comes up, we will issue an alert right away.
Let us take you to the guide right away.
